Our gin base is distilled from wheat grain grown and harvested here on Auld Farm. All our grain is graded ensuring only our best quality grain makes it into our spirits.
The wheat for Summit’s Reach Gin batch 19SR is harvested from Paddock #14 – “Bottom Half of First Ridge” in 2019. Our wheat spirit base brings a clean fresh luxurious finish to the sipping experience.
Summit’s Reach is crafted from botanicals found on the craggy mountains of Southland. A juniper led gin with Kanuka, tussock, moss and lichens to add freshness and spice.
Auld Distillery crafts premium quality gins from seed-to-sip that can be enjoyed neat with a splash of water or mixed with your favourite tonic water over ice.
Summit’s Melt
50mL Summit’s Reach Gin
150mL East Imperial Thai Dry Ginger Ale
Build over ice in a tall glass.
Garnish with a slice of fresh orange and a sprig of mint.
Rugged Range
45mL Summit’s Reach Gin
20mL Fresh Lime
10mL Kanuka Honey Syrup
Mix together in a shaker over ice. Hard shake and then fine strain over a large block of ice.
Garnish with an orange coin and a tuft of pine needles.
